Purpose of Position


The Sales Account Manager - Iberia drives the sales and commercial activities for the assigned interritory, directly with major accounts and through sales channels to achieve the assigned sales budget of the corporate products and services.


The Sales Account Manager - Iberia is tasked to develop and maintain the relation, knowledge of and intimacy with the assigned accounts, to build long terms durable and growing business.


Key Responsibilities
The Sales Account Manager - Iberia is responsible to successfully drive the
following activities:

Sales Function
a) Meets sales financial objectives, analyzing variances and leading corrective actions

b) Improves quality and dimension of the funnel of sales opportunities, to increase coverage, conversion, market share and a balanced product mix.

c) Holds recurrent reviews with his/her manager to measure individual performances Vs the target KPIs.

d) Creates and executes Action Plans to develop existing accounts or to break into new ones.

e) Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly orders and revenue streams.

f) Is accountable for participation to tenders and negotiations, preparing the relevant documentation coordinating the effort in a matrix organization.

g) Develop relations at C-level and executive levels and participates into key meetings with customers or partners to create, maintain and develop the necessary relation and intimacy, fostering the development of a many-to-many relation amongst the Key Accounts organization and his/her own organization.

h) Identifies promotional activities and campaigns to drive volumes and margins

i) Is a key implementer of the company strategy I the assigned region, supporting the introduction of new digital solutions to implement customers' digital transformation plans.

j) Provides inputs to the yearly budgeting process, strategic planning and monthly strategy deployment reviews.


Background and Skills

  • Fuel and Convenience retail business background or experience, with an accent on Retail.
  • Technical background, from education or acquired through experience, that would allow the Sales Account Manager to effectively sell technology solutions like Retail Systems, Cloud based services on a SaaS model, integrations and software or hardware products in general.
  • Native Portuguese or Spanish speaker, Fluent English.
  • Experience in sales management, account management, negotiation and complex sales with long sales cycles.
  • Experience in contracts management
