    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled HVDC Senior Expert to join our team at CESI Group.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power systems and experience with software tools for network modeling, such as PSCAD, ATP, EMTP-RV, PSSE, DigSilent or equivalent.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • To develop different activities according to various projects.
    • To contribute to the selection of optimal parameters for HVDC equipment through networks and performance studies.
    • To define station layout, electro-mechanical arrangement, main equipment selection, filter banks, ancillary equipment, and control & protection systems during substation specification.
    • To follow factory and site acceptance tests, ensuring quality of supplied products during construction/commissioning phase.
    • To interact directly with clients and guarantee excellence of delivery in compliance with technical and economic targets.
    • To coordinate junior engineer activities for project execution.

    Requirements:

    • Master degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Managerial skills: optimization of internal/external resources, project coordination, flexibility to lead consultancy in different countries, capability to interact with clients, and skill in managing complex projects.
    • Technical skills: main HVDC components, software tools for network modeling, and applicable standards for Converter Stations.
    • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other foreign languages (Spanish, Arabic, French) is considered a plus.
    • At least 10 years of experience.
