Reservations Manager, per inserimento immediato.


About the role:


Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Revenue Specialist, the Reservations Manager ensures the smooth operation of the Reservations Department to achieve rooms sales targets and maximize revenue.

We are looking for a true hospitality professional, highly motivated, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

He/She needs to have strong understanding of revenue & distribution platforms, programs and channels.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To lead the Reservations Team and ensure the smooth day to day running of the reservations office;
  • Together with the Reservations Agents, handle reservation calls and the inboxes, ensuring that all reservations enquiries are answered with the 24h period;
  • To train and supervise the Reservations Agents in their daily duties. Supporting them with daily challenges;
  • Perform daytoday arrival checks, ensuring that all reservations are input into the system correctly;
  • Oversee the Revenue Management System in place (G3 RMS
  • IDeas) under the guidance of the Revenue Specialist & Director of Sales;
  • Prepare Weekly /Monthly Pick up / Forecast / Production Reports;
  • Responsible for the Rate Loading management and distribution on all channels (SYNXIS CRS);
  • Handle event enquiries and issue event orders;
  • Establish & maintain service standards within the Reservations Department; ensure that the Team is fully trained on customer service, selling techniques and other duties;
  • To support the Director of Sales & Marketing and get involved in hotel site inspections, sales activities, guest satisfaction performance reviews, marketing campaigns etc;
  • Attend weekly revenue meetings.

Key Expectations of this Role are:

  • Having a very good knowledge of the Opera property management system, Synxis (CRS) and possibly IDEAS G3 (Revenue Management System);
  • Having a strong understanding of revenue and distribution platforms, programs and systems and good numerical aptitude;
  • Having excellent customer service skills; ability to engage with the guest and also iron out any glitches or handle complaints as and when they may arise.

Job Requirements:


  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in a sizeable luxury hotel, with at least 2 years in a Reservations Manager position;
- excellent written and oral communication skills with proficiency in English language and Italian. Third language is a plus;

  • Excellent written and spoken English and Italian. Third language is a plus. Excellent phone skills;
  • Working Knowledge of Opera PMS, SynXis CRS is required. Working knowledge of Revenue Management System (G3 Ideas) and CRMs (Revinate) would be extra beneficial;
  • High level of attention to detail and refined manners.
