Organizational Context
The Agency of the United Nations is a specialized organization headquartered in Rome, Italy, with a global operational presence.
The Agency's mission is to support sustainable development initiatives through innovative and inclusive solutions, ensuring effective service delivery and operational excellence across its global network.
The Information and Communication Technology Division (ICT) is responsible for providing information technology solutions and services to support the Agency's operations and ensure effective use of Information and Communications Technology tools and services.
ICT provides corporate solutions and services to a global user base, including enterprise systems, cloud solutions, and collaboration platforms supporting remote and hybrid work environments.
Technical ContextThe organization has implemented the ServiceNow platform, with core infrastructure already in place. The current focus is on final configuration and customization of workflows and modules to ensure a successful internal launch.
The consultant will work alongside internal IT and Change Management teams to review, enhance, and document the ServiceNow environment, ensuring seamless integration with corporate data and processes.
Under the supervision and technical coordination of the User Technology Enablement and Support Lead and the ICT Change Management ICT Solutions Manager, the consultant will:
Review the existing ServiceNow configuration and identify areas for optimization.
Customize workflows and modules to meet specific corporate requirements.
Ensure data integration from existing corporate repositories (CMDB, AD, etc.) and compliance with internal standards and policies.
Work closely with developers in other technologies to validate requirements and ensure integration points are managed efficiently and securely while maintaining data availability and integrity.
Provide best-practice recommendations for deployment and user experience.Create comprehensive technical documentation for all ServiceNow modules, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
Collaborate with internal IT and Change Management teams to support the internal launch.
Provide on-site support during the final implementation phase.
Technical Requirements
- At least 4 years' experience working with ServiceNow, with proven expertise in configuration and customization.
- Strong experience in migration of data from existing corporate repositories (CMDB, AD, eTicketing systems) into ServiceNow modules.
- Ability to deliver tailored solutions for enterprise environments.
- Experience with internal launch readiness and troubleshooting.
Problem Solver – Ability to propose solutions clearly and understandably to non-technical users; able to brainstorm and develop practical and innovative solutions.
Team Worker – Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with end users; able to consult and engage effectively at all organizational levels, establishing openness and trust in a multicultural environment.
Performer – Demonstrated success in the design, implementation, and quality control of ServiceNow modules, with the ability to develop clear and concise system implementation proposals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
