Role purpose:

To carry out the engineering and delivery of Audio Video Pipe TV platforms (Encoding, Transcoding and Delivery) within the TV Engineering team as part of the Network Engineering delivering culture.

This includes but not limited to:

Drive the integration and platforms alignment activities as part of the VTV program
Define, design, implement and execute solutions addressing commercial requirements or technology evolution inside the European Region.
Interface with internal and external stakeholders for the execution of the above mentioned activities
Act as the Senior TV engineer, interfacing with TED, VNO and other stakeholders, for the continuous optimization of the above mentioned platforms seeking for cost,performance optimization as well as operational excellence
Coordination and vendor management in TV projects deployment in order to guarantee time to market and compliance to functional and nonfunctional requirements
Analyse technical documentation delivered by Architecture teams and be able to assess if improvements are required to ensure the solutions delivered will work in a Productive environment
Support the deliverables certification processes, ensuring quality and excellence in delivery
Support Operational teams in postdelivery period, including technical analysisof incidents, bugs or performance issues and help designing and delivering fixes
Drive platforms and services evolution, seeking enhanced efficiency through harmonization & consolidation projects
Manage capacity and lifecycle for all systems in TV scope
Manage Capex/Opex fees calculations and forecasts, aligning these values with the VPC, local teams and vendors to ensure accurate budget execution Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Interface with product, operational and strategy teams in the market
Solution design & Implementation, including validation activities and post deployment support
Lifecycle and capacity management

Innovation driven Must have technical / professional qualifications:
High level of written and spoken English
Knowledge of telecoms and video technologies, with strong skills on IPTV, DVB, cloud technologies and agile development methodologies
Ability to understand marketing needs and video market evolution, and translate them into technical requirements
Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Project management experience
>3 years professional experience
