    Job Description


    To support our client activities which cover the Heater-HPR (High Pressure Regulator) design, development, and testing up to the equipment TRL 6 test on an EM model you will have the following responsibilities :

    • Provide technical knowhow and consultancy in propulsion to project teams responsible for spacecraft development.
    • Enhance support for propulsion subsystem activities utilizing Hall thruster-based propulsion technology and its critical components.
    • Perform propulsion sub-system level analysis to provide inputs to system budgets.
    • Prepare technical documentation to support the propulsion subsystem development, testing, and the associated project reviews
    • Provide support in developing propulsion sub-system and equipment, including design and testing
    • Provide support for supplier management, including requirements management, progress monitoring, and supporting project-related reviews.
    • Identify critical development challenges and assist in their resolution.
    • Regularly report to the Head of Propulsion and Lead Propulsion Engineer.

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Plasma Physics required along with relevant experience; a PhD in a related field is a strong asset
    • Strong background and specific experience in propulsion.
    • Knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles as they relate to fluid systems.
    • Prior experience in propulsion sub-systems and propulsion equipment development and qualification.
    • Experience with propulsion sub-system level analysis (e.g. gauging, cleanliness, contamination, etc.) and their methodologies
    • Prior experience in propulsion subsystem and equipment testing for R&D and qualification purposes
    • In-depth understanding of relevant technologies for this position Preferential Skills:
    • Familiarity with space engineering standards (ECSS, ANSI-AIAA, etc.), including preparation and implementation.
    • Proficiency in fluidic system design.
    • Experience with EcosimPRO and SPIS.
    • Expertise in designing, developing, and validating tools and methods relevant to the field.
    • Background in institutional projects.
    • Proficiency in English
