Duties:


  • Conduct, direct, manage, and supervise operational mission management, coordination, deconfliction, and synchronization of HUMINT activities.
  • Coordinate or facilitate the exchange of information/intelligence between SETAF-AF and supporting Army units and national agencies.
  • Analyze, coordinate, monitor, and direct HUMINT issues, and advise leadership on key issues and significant developments.
  • Represent SETAF-AF at Army and other nationallevel intelligence and HUMINT agencies on matters regarding planning and coordinating strategy to conduct HUMINT activities.
  • Develop, coordinate, and present HUMINT requirements for policy and doctrine development.
  • Provide daytoday operational, administrative, onthejob training; and direct workload to assigned personnel.
  • Develop HUMINT budget and resource requirements for submission in G2X budget.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time, CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Requires frequently extended duty with long hours under high pressure and generally highrisk job responsibilities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a vehicle operator's license to drive military and civilian vehicles.
  • Civilian DoD personnel are not exempt from the Lautenberg Amendment. As a condition of employment, incumbent will be required to sign a form acknowledging understanding of this provision.
  • This position is considered Emergency-Essential (EE) in support of the Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide.
  • EE employees must sign DD Form 2365, and must maintain certain levels of medical, including anthrax vaccination; security; performance; conduct; and fitness suitable for assignment to austere and stressful combat environments.
  • Failure to perform the duties of this position in an emergency may result in appropriate action defined as separation for the efficiency of the Federal service under the procedures contained in 5 CFR 75
  • A preappointment physical is required.
  • In accordance with AR , must have successfully completed an accredited program of instruction that has been certified by military service, combat support agency, or a DoDrecognized accredited institution.
  • Must be a graduate of one of the advanced HUMINT training courses as indicated in AR , such as Defense Advanced Tradecraft Course, Advanced Source Operations Course, or a DoD recognized and accredited equivalent course.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting HUMINT operations to support mission requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS12).
  • Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligencerelated research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.

This experience should demonstrate:

Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
