Working in the Revenue Accounting Back Office team:

You will be part of the multi-national Back-Office (BO) team in the business area Markets, with colleagues based in Oslo, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam, London, and Tirana.

Back Office is the process engine for all commercial transactions and has responsibility for validation of the transactions, clearing and collaterals, contract settlements, billing, accruing, revenue accounting and EU regulatory reporting for all trading and origination transactions across Europe and the US.

In a quick and changing environment we are building the bridge between our commercial departments and Finance units.

The Revenue Accounting Operations unit is responsible for the financial operations of all physical and financial products as well as input to financial reporting.


As Senior Specialist in Revenue Accounting, you will:

  • Ensure robust processes within the revenue accounting operations.
  • Run monthend closing process, including inventory calculations, accruals, reconciliations, and controls, ensuring correct and timely reporting, according to given deadlines, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and contribute to PnL reconciliation of net operating revenues between Performance Management and Accounting (IFRS) figures to ensure overall correctness and completeness.
  • Follow up on KPIs, internal controls and audit reports/activities.
  • Provide knowledge, advice, and assistance to Back Office colleagues regarding revenue accounting principles, rules, and developments.
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives, harmonization and standardization of processes and systems.
  • Operationalise and lead implementation of new requirements and internal controls in response to changes in financial reporting standards, legal frameworks, and market conditions.
  • Participate in New Product Approval and Implementation (NPAI) processes and provide assistance and guidelines for revenue accounting.
  • Cooperate with stakeholders across different departments.
  • Create and maintain various documentation related to business processes, routines, controls, and tools.
Some travel to our different locations will be required.


Qualifications About you**:


  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
  • Preferably 35 years relevant work experience with international exposure.
  • Good understanding of IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel, SAP (S4 Hana) FI, SAP BW.
  • Competence managing complex data structures and reconciliation tools.
  • Precise, accurate and systematic working style.
  • A good team player with excellent cooperation and communication skills and the ability to build relations across the organisation.
  • Strong command of English and Norwegian, any other language is a plus.
  • Thriving and contributing to a highly competent, enthusiastic, fastpaced, international working environment.
