    We have an exciting opportunity for a Billing Assistant to join our Finance team in the A&O Shearman Milan office.
    Be part of a collaborative Finance team, supporting billing and financial operations within a global law firm.
    What you will do
    The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of finance-related activities, including:

    • Accounting, billing and e-billing
    • Monthly review of WIP and Debtors with Partners to collect instructions
    • Ensure invoices are correctly submitted to SDI and, if required, to the Client's e-billing system
    • Monitoring debtors and proceed with remind to the Clients

    What you will have

    • Previous experience in Finance & Accounting role
    • Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
    • Knowledge of VAT treatment on invoices
    • Excellent written and spoken English (B2 level)
    • Proficiency in standard IT tools
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel
    • Detail‑oriented, with a high level of accuracy and able to apply strong analytical thinking
    • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
    • Previous experience in law and / or consultancy firms is preferred
