Job summary


Reporting to the Academic Coordination Head, the Academic Coordinator supports the Master Program Leaders for the organisation and delivery of the Master courses, monitoring of the budget and students' satisfaction.

Furthermore the Academic Coordinator is the point of reference for the students for all organizational issues during their academic year.

Key purpose of the role

  • Prepare courses calendars (including out of school activities) and contact lecturers and external visiting professors specifically in relation to organizational issues (not regarding the contents of the specific interventions of the faculty staff). Collect and transfer all necessary lecturers' data and documents in order to let HR Processes and Development to prepare all the contracts. Maintain the relation with external visiting professors about the academic activities.
  • Assure monitoring students' attendance and communicate (by mail and by appointment) to students their level of attendance.
  • Support the reporting activities: assure keeping academic records and prepare all the necessary information in order to submit the online student surveys. Support for other students surveys (such as NPS Survey) and keep track of the expenses related to each single course/workshop. Participate to the student forums regard the students' satisfaction.
  • Support interface between Account Receivable and students to demand the payments.
  • Support the planning of the use of the Laboratories for students in collaboration with Laboratories Head and Academic Planning.
  • Guarantee the welcome the students specially during special events (such as Openings, Final Ceremonies, Graduation, etc.) and to guarantee the correct stock of Academic materials.
Minimum requirements

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Languages or Communications or equivalent.
Work Experience

  • Minimum of 4/5 years in educational or art and design environment.
Soft skills

  • Service oriented, diligent, organised, flexible, reliable, diplomatic, students' satisfaction oriented.
IT skills

  • Good experience in standard computer programs (MS Office); in particular MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel.
Languages (incl. Level required)

  • Fluent in English; other language skills are a plus.
