    Business Overview of BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking - Capital Markets – Debt Markets - Loan Capital Markets Internship Within BNP Paribas' CIB division, the Debt Markets EMEA team gathers a group of 100+ loan (structured and vanilla) and bond (high grade and high yield) originators located in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, Milan, Madrid and Lisbon, covering the bank's core clients in Europe across all economic sectors.


    Debt Markets EMEA team regroups three main teams:
    (i) Leveraged Finance Capital Markets (LFCM), (ii) Loan Capital Markets (LCM), and (iii) Debt Capital Markets (DCM).

    The LFCM and LCM teams are responsible for the origination, structuring, underwriting and execution of LBO and Corporate Leveraged financings (LFCM) and loan financing solutions (event-driven/M&A, plain vanilla) to large corporates and midcap investment grade corporate clients (LCM).

    DCM is specialized in originating bond financing transactions for investment grade and midcap corporate clients.

    In the Milan office, the intern will integrate the platform of juniors supporting primarily the LCM team across its origination and execution activities.

    During the internship, the intern will also be exposed to other BNP Paribas teams (M&A, Syndication, Risk Management, Rating Advisory Group, ESG & Sustainable Finance Team) across Europe as well as to external partners.

    Primary Responsibilities As a full member of the team, working closely with analysts, associates, VPs and directors and with the benefit of an intensive on-the-job technical and professional training, the intern will be able to participate and contribute end-to-end to all steps of the transactions:

    • Client pitches (new acquisitions, refinancing, recap, extension)
    • Credit analysis on new transactions including contribution to:
    o Drafting of company description and financial performance
    o Preparation of market analysis including, among the others, positioning of the Company vs competitors, identification of key market drivers and expected market trends
    o Financial modelling and sensitivities

    • Supporting material for the marketing of debt transaction including lender presentations and teasers
    What we expect from you Education : Master degree in Economics; Master degree in Management Engineering (Specialization in Finance)

    Behavioral skills :

    strong analytical skills and attention to details; good communication and organizational skills; collaborative approach, team spirit and ability to adapt; proactivity and problem solving attitude; strong interpersonal skills.


    Technical skills :

    Fluent English and Italian (written and spoken); solid knowledge of financial analysis; very good skills on PowerPoint and Excel.

    Prior experience in investment banking is appreciated

    Contract type and Remuneration The offer will be a full time 6-months internship and it is dedicated to all students or recent graduates (twelve or less months after graduation).
