Accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assess market demand and gather customer requirements to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Analyse customer supplied system specifications, decomposing the statements within such specifications into software requirements
  • Analyse technical specifications and prepare technical documentation for tender bids
  • Design the architecture in order to fulfil the client demands
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Create buyin for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Prepare product description, convert business needs into technical specifications, and define roadmap to align development with business goals
  • Take evidencebased decisions to prioritize product features based on customer impact and to select market opportunities to address
  • Work on bids to understand and address customer needs, and to select opportunities with an evidence based approach
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Work efficiently and effectively, in compliance with internal global policies and standardization requirements

Required Skills / Knowledge:


  • Knowledge of requirements management process and related software tools (IBM DOORS).
  • Knowledge of a typical vehicle and Operation Control Centre architecture.
  • Design of subsystems part of railway environment in order to comply with the requirements in terms of time, quality and cost either for an assigned Tender and Backlog Project.
  • Budget and product activities planning and management.
  • Purchase technical specification writing.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols/architectures for designing of wired and wireless data networks.
  • Basic Knowledge of the concepts related to the protection of personnel, hardware, programs, networks, and data from physical circumstances and events that could cause serious losses or damage to a transportation system. This includes protection from fire, natural disasters, vandalism.
  • Team player who collaborates well with others in cross functional teams, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, to prioritize, multitask and work well under pressure
  • Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative
  • Sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience
  • At least 3 years of proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager, managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • At least 3 years of experience as an engineer or technical lead
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or handson experience in technologies and software development
  • Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required.

Preferred Skills / Knowledge:


  • Knowledge of standards and norms related the railway environment (HW and SW).
  • Basic knowledge of bidding process.
  • Basic knowledge of Mobility as a Service concept and Smart Mobility services.
  • Basic knowledge of software engineering.
  • Experiences in Railways and Mass Transit market.
  • Strong knowledge of Flows and Operations management market and technologies
  • Demonstrable experience launching successful products
  • Demonstrable leadership abilities
  • Ability to meet revenue targets
  • Expert at managing tight deadlines

Education / Qualifications:

University degree (MS) in Computer Science, Electronic/Information Engineering or Equivalent technical background.


Languages:

Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken)
