SOURAYA is looking for a part-time Milan-based production manager to oversee development, sampling and production of our collections.

The production manager will be liaising with the Brand Operations Director in order to ensure that the creative director's designs and requests are met and executed in a timely fashion.

- minimum of 3 years' experience managing production in factories

  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Relationships with suppliers and factories in Italy
  • Background in luxury fashion is a plus
  • Determined, hardworking and cando attitude are a must for this position
  • Excellent organisation and timemanagement skills.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for the accurate execution of garments.

Expectations and role description

  • Create and maintain the critical path approved by the Brand Operations director in order to ensure that samples and production are running on schedule. Daily, weekly and monthly targets are necessary to ensure timely execution of projects and productive ways of working.
  • Liaise with our international embroidery partners to ensure timely delivery of embroidered panels.
  • Present new collection technical drawings and materials to factories to kickstart development. The production manager is responsible for all details to be communicated clearly and accurately as per the creative director's specification after signingoff and approving the technical drawings.
  • Attend all fittings with the factories, and create summaries of changes to be signedoff by the creative director at each fitting.
  • Daily communication between factories to ensure that work is on schedule, and any problems are raised to the design team/Brand Operations Director in London.
  • Negotiate with factories to ensure our target prices are met for development and production, in order to deliver the merchandiser's planned margins for each collection, and communicate any discrepancies to the Brand Operations Director.
  • Provide input and suggestions to the design team to optimise fit, design, wearability, pricing etc.
  • Assist with sourcing of materials for sampling and production, and track the availability of materials that are already used.
  • Be responsible for the accurate communication of final order quantities, and accurate BOM sheets for the factories to use.

Technical and industry knowledge

  • Understanding of patterns, grading and fabrics/materials.
  • Relationships with suppliers and factories is a must. As the company diversifies its product offering, the production manager is expected to reach out to his/her contacts to find the best fit for the sampling and production of different products

Pay:
From €850.00 per month
