Senior Manager, Milan Facilities Management


As the Milan Facilities Manager, you are accountable for maintaining and improving our workplace, our buildings and our facility services.

This includes various responsibilities - from providing a warm welcome at our reception desk to leading projects for expanding our site.

You will be working with a wide variety of stakeholders and will lead a small team of facilities professionals.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Manager, Milan Facilities Management ("Facilities Manager") primary responsibilities include direct oversight of, responsibility for, and management of ASM's LPE Milan facility

Those responsibilities include:

  • Develops and monitors budgets and approves contracts to meet current and future needs.
  • Oversees all building operations, including repairs, refurbishments, and the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, fire / life safety, plumbing, and waste management systems.
  • Responsible for contracting and performance management for facilities services, including cleaning, security, and reception.

  • Ensures building operations meet service standards and comply with all local laws and regulations.
  • Develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional team's infrastructure, specifically around best practices in manufacturing space and office space management, site security, maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance / aesthetics, and vehicle traffic, mobility, and site parking space management.
  • Leads a small team of facilities professionals and an extended team of contractors for facilities management.
  • Leads the Milan site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and provides leadership in crisis management and emergency responses for facilities related incidents.
  • Acts as a key leader as part of Milan's Leadership Team representing all facilities related matters, including corporate and site sustainability programs and hybrid (remote work) programs.
  • Provides strategic, operational, and tactical oversight for onsite contractors including safety, quality, service level attainment, and ongoing voice of the customer feedback.
  • Represents the Milan Site in all internal and external audit responses and safety / security certifications.
  • Works as part of the core Milan site space expansion and redesign program team, providing key input to the design of the new space and thought leadership in innovative ways that space can be configured and optimized.
  • Works directly with key leaders in the Milan site space expansion and redesign program, providing operational and tactical direction to general and subtier contractors to ensure program timelines are being met.
  • Responsible for establishing an overall 'mobility program' through the creation of a culture of sustainability mobility plans for the site, including alternate modes of transport to and from work, carpooling, car sharing, and the use of micro mobility vehicles.
  • Acts as a liaison between other mobility manager in the region in order to develop best practices and collaborate in idea sharing.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills in both Italian and English.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a facilities management related roles.
  • A minimum of three years of people management experience in a facilities management environment.
  • Experience in working with a diverse group of executive level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proactive thinking with a cando attitude a self starter, frequently taking the initiative to drive solutions to complex problems.
  • Project management experience and demonstrated capabilities in establishing project plans and delivering intended results.
