In our Process Automation Business Area, in Energy Industries division, we are looking for an Excitation Proposal Engineer.

Reporting to the Sales & Excitation Manager you will create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company.

Your responsibilitiesLead all the tender phase starting from analyzing customers technical specifications and Request for Quotation, identifying a proper technical solution, developing preliminary equipment design including drawings, BoM, mechanical layout, dealing with suppliers RFQs, defining the project schedule and project related costs.

Technical aspects to be covered:

excitation systems, starter LCI and VFD, transformer, electrical protection, LV and MV power and LV auxiliary cables, Electrical Grid Code Aspects and related control systems transfer functions, the know-how of electrical international and Italian standards.

Engagement with our clients, including engineering, management, maintenance, and quality team members to understandcustomer needs and to propose the best technical solution balanced with the best cost/price setup.

Coordination within internal teams (R&D, Sales, Operation, Procurement) and leading activities for all the processes involved during the tender phase and post-order services (technical support, internal handover)Customer technical support as pre-sales and post-sales services with regards to excitation systems, synchronization devices, motors and generators.

Your backgroundMasters degree in Electrical Engineering.0-3 years of experience in an industrial environment with preference towards a background with electric generators and cabinet realization.

Knowledge and understanding of international drawing/planning convention standards, knowledge of AC and DC electrical power system studies, power electronics, electrical machine and MV, LV cabinets.

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and Word), electrical simulation/modelling tools, AutoCAD, etc.
Teamworking, good communication skills, excellent written and verbal presentation skills and proficiency in English and in Italian.
Availability to travel in Italy and abroad for a short period
