Job Overview:

Perform services as a Family Advocacy Program (FAP) Prevention Coordinator.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Contractor shall provide professional trainings/briefings for community organizations


including, but not limited to the following topics: child abuse, teen dating violence, child sexual abuse, stress and anger management, positive parenting, positive couple's communication and other FAP educational and training focuses.

- shall publicize the FAP program to the entire community, using all available,

approved media methods (ACS Facebook Page, AFN, digital/physical posters, ACS Instagram page, etc.).
- shall provide case coordination for the purpose of educational program delivery with the FAPM and the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) FAP Clinic. Coordination may be conducted telephonically or in-person.
- assist to schedule meetings, reserve meeting venues, and prepare agendas for the Family Advocacy Committee (FAC) and Fatality Review Committee (FRC)
- coordinate with other ACS FAP team members and schedule annual training classes for all personnel who work with children.
- participate in FAP community outreach activities, all special events and assist in planning activities for FAP community activities/special event. This includes manning informational tables, supporting and attending community events, and providing input for the FAP program.


Qualifications:


  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (from an accredited university) in one of the following fields: social science, behavioral health, health science education, community health or public health.
  • A minimum two (2) years of experience in family and children's services or
community organization, one of which is in Family Violence

  • Contractor must possess a English language proficiency at a level 3, good
working knowledge (LEVEL 3 Good Working Knowledge At this level an employee is required to have a good working knowledge of both written and spoken English. The employee should be able to read and understand agency

regulations, operating instructions, memoranda, and related material concerning the

field of work, to prepare correspondence and standardized reports, and to communicate

effectively with English speaking staff members and the general public, including both

English speaking and non-English speaking persons.)
