Position Overview:

Managing the finance and accounting operations for Novelis Italy entities, including tresaury and general ledger, regular quarterly, monthly and weekly finance reporting, ad hoc projects as required.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Treasury activities:

Payments
Bank transaction
Liquidity management
Bank reconciliation
Weekly cash flow report
Cash pooling reconciliation
Support Corporate treasury team for all requests
Derivatives booking

General ledger activities:

Payroll registration and reconciliations
Sales agents registration and reconciliations
Supporting Plant Controller for specific projects

Monthly/quarterly reporting:

Manual Accrual adjustment
Specific Journal entry for US Gaap impact
Balance sheet accuracy review and reconciliation
Ad hoc quarterly report
Professional Accounting qualification/Business School
Proven ability to work in a matrix organization (crossfunctional) with multiple stakeholders, with the ability manage upwards as the "team experts" in some areas.
5+ years' experience in similar roles

Location Profile:
Novelis' Bresso plant just north of Milan Italy employs about 190 people.

It produces pre-painted aluminium sheet as well as sheet with special surfaces such as bright and embossed finishing for the building and construction industry as well as consumer and industrial products.

Since 2018 the plant produces also automotive sheet better serving automotive customers in the region.

In addition to its lively art and culture scene Milan is also a global capital of fashion and design known for its high-end restaurants and shops.
