Descrizione

The Technical Unit Manager, in line with the site objectives, ensures the management, maintenance and development of an efficient, Technical Unit assigned, coordinating and guiding the reporting structure and promoting, maintaining a profitable relationship with clients.

Promote the optimization of the unit and a high level of efficiency, and ensure the implementation of projects in collaboration with the relevant functions.

Drive the Unit to reach goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People development, Customer Satisfaction and Projects, in compliance with current regulations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality

Scheduling

  • Ensure the overall the readiness for the Unit activities, the adherence to the production and maintenance shortterm schedule, as well as the identification of improvements and efficiencies for medium/long term scheduling

Production

  • Ensure the production of drugs as requested by the client, through the guidance, coordination and control of the reporting structure, the participation to Technology Transfer meetings, in order to ensure the comprehension of the manufacturing processes requested by the client, the approval of the instructions related to manufacturing operations, the support in case of anomalies with respect to production standards, the verification of the trends with respect to the budget, the gap analysis and the definition of the corrective actions, in respect of budget, client's needs, GMPs, procedures and company quality standards.

TPM & Continuous improvement

  • Ensure for the area of responsibility the implementation of TPM principles in order to increase the reliability and efficiency of equipment, identifying improvement actions, preventive measures to ensure the optimal output from the department respecting the needs of the customer, the GMP, the procedures and the quality standards of the company.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of the Technical Unit assigned, by proposing improvement actions related to the manufacturing plant layout and plant flexibility, as well as to adjustment to the current GMP and costs optimization, in respect of the assigned budget, GMP, company interests, procedures and quality standards

Mantenaince

  • Ensure the execution of maintenance activities for the Technical Unit, through the coordination and control of the reporting structure in the verification of the efficiency of production departments and equipment, definition of actions to solve production problems (plant breakdown), in compliance with quality standards and quantitative production requirements.

COST

Technical Unit budget & cost control

  • Ensure for the area of responsibility the proposal and definition of the budget in term of fixed costs, variable costs and investments.
  • Identify and promote cost efficiency evaluation and optimization for the Technical Unit.

Definition of the costs related to the new contract

  • Ensure, in close coordination with the Technology Transfer, the definition and optimization of costs related to new contracts, by collaborating to assess the impact of the new production orders and the risks associated with the acquisition of the new contract, in accordance with company interests and the Technical Business Manager directions.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

  • Ensure the customer satisfaction through the reporting structure and in collaboration with the technical business.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of customers' production processes towards other customers.

Technical training

  • Ensure the technical training of the employee production structure, through the direction, coordination and control of the department heads in order to identify the needs and propose the appropriate actions to provide adequate training, in compliance with the budget.

Management of reporting structure

  • Ensuring the coordination and control of the employee structure, through the definition of objectives, the exploitation of results, the analysis of training needs and development, in order to ensure a high level of performance and motivation.

HOW WILL YOU GET THERE?

Education:


  • High School Degree/University Degree

Technical skills:

  • Experience in production management in pharmaceutical companies
