About the Role

Empatica, a series B healthtech company, is looking for a Chief of Staff to provide the CEO with leverage and help the company deliver on its ambitious plans for growth.

The Chief of Staff will report to the CEO, providing support for strategy, execution, leadership and special projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to execute key projects and initiatives across the company.

The role will be full-time,
based either in Milan (IT) or Boston, MA (USA) with competitive compensation as well as potential performance-related bonuses and equity in the business, depending on experience.

Key role responsibilities

Prioritisation & Execution
Help the leadership team define and prioritize key initiatives and oversee their implementation
Own OKR process endtoend (setting/ monitoring/ execution)
Define the cadence of leadership and broader company meetings
Ensure that each meeting has the right objectives, agenda and followups
Strategy & Leadership
Plan and lead collaborative/ brainstorming events (e.g. offsites, quarterly prioritization exercises)
Write crossfunctional presentations, such as strategy, investor updates, all hands
Coordinate board meetings agendas, attendees, materials, prereading, followup
Draft and cascade major internal communications
Special Projects
Lead early stages of new crossfunctional initiatives partnerships, corporate development, new business lines etc.
Lead any ad hoc, highpriority projects for the CEO (e.g. research acquisition targets, evolve sales reporting, scale processes, etc.)

Requirements:

Essential

Master's degree in Business Administration or similar field
6+ years of professional experience
2+ years in management consulting, or similar fast paced analytical roles
Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
Project management experience, including leading crossfunctional projects
Experience at a rapidly growing startup or scaleup
A passion for Empatica's products and mission

Desirable

Degree relevant for the company/industry
Experience relevant for the company/industry
Previous Chief of Staff or Head of Operations experience

Entrepreneurial entrepreneurial spirit and self starter
Problem solver ideally with experience in a startup or management consulting
Fast mover capable of setting and driving ambitious agendas forward
Analytical and numerate able to derive deep insights from data
Focused and resilient ability to handle complex situations and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change
High EQ strong communicator able to build relationships across all levels
