Sales Manager Italy - Animal Nutrition

Carpi ( MO)


Job Description:

ADM has an exciting opportunity available for a Sales Manager to join our animal nutrition business in Italy.

In a large local market, this is seen as key role not only to maintain, but more importantly to significantly grow our footprint by offering a broad depth of products ranging from Feed Additives & Ingredients to Premix.

The role is expected to be based in Carpi ( Mo) and reports to the Commercial Manager in Switzerland.

The main duties of this role will include:

  • Unlock and maximize the potential of our animal nutrition business in the Italy
  • Responsibility for our Animal Nutrition (technical) sales
  • Establish and develop longterm customer relationships
  • Identify and develop new business and partnership opportunities for growth
  • Understand our portfolio of products
  • Create and fulfill own sales plans and budget on the basis of market plans
  • Create and execute 35 year Business Plan for the region
  • Monthly reporting, sales analytics and insights; understand gotomarket strategy and how to maximize sales efficiency
  • Stay uptodate on industry trend analysis, competitive activity and changing consumer behaviors through industry publications, events and insights reports to strategically grow the business
  • Support and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies for the region
  • Close interaction with other departments: technical support, customer service/logistics, product management, marketing and controlling
  • Bachelors & Masters in Science in Agri, Agro Engineering, Veterinarian or Business educational background
  • At least 10 years' experience in the Compound feed, Premix and/or ingredients business
  • Business development spirit
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Autonomy and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a (virtual) team
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong customer service orientation skills
  • Experience working in a matrix organization (crosscultural mindset)
  • Flexible and willing to travel within the region
  • Excellent English language skills
