Country Medical Lead Cell Therapy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Medical Affairs strategy and tactics for Cell Therapy products in Italy
  • Lead and manage the country Cell Therapy Medical Affairs Team including field based Medical Scientists
  • Works collaboratively with KITE & Gilead personnel in Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Research, Global Safety, Public Affairs and Governmental Affairs
  • Act as a member of the ACE Medical Affairs Leadership Team
  • Works collaboratively with the Gilead Italy Medical Affairs team
  • Responds to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental KITE products.
  • Presents scientific and clinical data for these products. Utilizes scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in a variety of different settings
  • Identifies and develops regional and national opinion leaders to support KITE products and trains KITE approved speakers through personal contacts and onsite visits.
  • Establishes strong relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators and providers at academic and nonacademic settings.
  • Assists with KITE Phase IV program that includes collaboration with investigators and internal Gilead personnel. Assists with site selection for both Phase IV and other clinical trials.
  • Anticipates obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolves them in a collaborative manner.
  • Sought for advice and collaboration within and outside Gilead.
  • Travels to appointments, meetings and conferences on a frequent and regular basis, occasionally with short notice.
Your Profile

Education

  • Advanced degree: MD, PharmD
Knowledge/Experience

  • Relevant experience must include clinical practice experience in oncology/hematology.
  • Experience in the management or investigation of clinical trials is highly desirable.
  • Clinical patient contact experience is highly desirable.
  • Management of staff highly desirable
  • Industry and Medical Affairs experience required, preferably in hematology /oncology or Cell Therapy
Personal skills

  • Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment
  • Selfmotivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be fully cognizant of all relevant scientific data and regulatory requirements for fieldbased personnel.
  • Must be committed to continuing education to maintain knowledge base.
  • Must have the ability to work as a member of several teams that may overlap such as national MS team, regional sales team, national accounts, and others.
  • Utilizes scientific resources for impactful presentations in a variety of different setting
  • Enjoy working in a fast pace entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong acceptance for cross functional teamwork
