Posizione:


The mission of the Portfolio Manager is to ensure the portfolio management together with internal partners and be the link between market, production and R&D.

He should help the organization too convince our customers with reliable and premium quality, but also develop a high-level of customer intimacy due to our deep expertise, and engagement for more sustainable/ smarter/safer innovations in the belting industry.


Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Product business owner:
  • Manage product lifecycle from release through phaseout
  • Understand the required technical product functions, market trends, competitor landscape, product design, cost structure, and production methods.
  • Track product profitability and recommended adjustments to pricing.
  • Maintain a close and collaborative relationship with technical owner(s) of the products.
  • Support the development of product promotion contents through all channels
  • Strategic Planning
  • Establish and maintain overall product roadmap for the assigned product portfolio
  • Work with Industry Teams to identify opportunities to sell existing products in new markets. Define market or regionspecific product requirements and work with sales and local operations teams on gotomarket and execution strategy.
  • Ensure product roadmap aligns with platform/business priorities.
  • Proactively seek market research and customer feedback to identify trends to improve existing products and production methods.
  • Integrate feedback from competition, customer, sales, engineering, production, aftersales service, and integration on how to improve the product.
  • Development
  • As part of the Portfolio & Technology Development team, work with on roadmap plans and development / commercial execution.
  • Facilitate business/commercial decisions throughout the duration of a new development project.
  • Define project requirements for R&D; including functionality, cost and schedule targets.
  • Project execution & operations
  • Evaluate custom product & design requests from a business and strategic perspective.
  • Ensure presale commercial teams have tools in place to support the product.
  • Ensure all departments that touch the product are aligned on the strategy and how our products are ultimately delivered, implemented, and supported.
  • Launch
  • Develop and execute market launch plans in close collaboration with the industry segment teams
  • Track quality management system to ensure any product issues are identified.
  • Assist with aftermarket service developments when they are specific to your product.

Requisiti:


  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2 to 5 years experience in Product Management or Project Management with technical background
  • Experience in working cross functionally, across departments and time zones
  • Experience in initiating, planning, managing, controlling and executing of projects are an advantage
  • Very good communication level English, and of the local country language where the position is based
  • Computer knowledge: SAP and Excel advanced, Word and Power Point basic
  • Proactive and total integrity and trustworthy personality;
  • Team player with exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability of and strong orientation to entrepreneurial thinking and achieving results;
  • High degree of independence and Handson attitude with a problemsolving mentality
  • Ability to make decisions and to take responsibility;
  • Creative and innovative mindset
  • Able to travel (up to 25%)
