As Global Project Management Office Manager (Global PMO) for Integrated Multifunctional Products (IMP), you own the Portfolio of customer projects of the Integrated GIS Applications (IGA), Multifunctional Modules (MFM) that are in execution worldwide.

In your role, you are leading the project management team by establishing and continuously improving high quality execution standards for complex projects and innovative business models.

You act in an agile environment though the complete Value Chain, while you strengthen the business through world class execution.


Responsibilities:


  • Leading the project management team functionally and disciplinary
  • Ensuring the global portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and internal policies
  • Establishing and enforcing an effective project management approach to achieve both project and organizational goals.
  • Developing project management organization, jointly with the management team and Project Managers. Planning, assigning and managing project resources based on competencies, project fit and availability in close collaboration with execution departments
  • Developing the respective process landscape, based on industry best practices. Ensures that findings from lessons learned from project execution are incorporated in continuous improvement actions
  • Responsible for the Project Management Office, ensuring compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
  • Participates in Bid/Sales Phase, i.e. in estimating risks and resource planning
  • Oversees project management activities at the portfolio level through project reviews and risk reviews with the management team and Project Managers. Takes an active role in resolving escalated issues
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders of the PMO. Serves as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues
  • Reinforces and maintains a culture of HSE in all project operations
  • Leads the execution of some (selected) large and complex projects of strategic relevance for IMP and ensures that all related activities are performed in accordance with internal policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments
  • Oversees the implementation of an adequate project management framework of innovative business models in the agile environment of new IMP / containerized solutions

Your background

  • Bachelor and master's degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering, with an economics or project management background
  • Established project management experience in the Energy Market, specially in the switchgear / substation delivery
  • Strong communication skills, with a solid understanding for ownership and responsibility, being able to deliver results in a complex environment and under time pressure
  • Ability to assess technical, commercial, and other risks to define countermeasures, in a contractual and commercial background
  • Fosters high quality standards, with a focus on establishing efficient procedures out of specific learnings
  • Experience in continuous improvement and process implementation
  • Project Management terms, best practices and Lean Management are part of your skill set. A Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus
  • Commercial, Contract, Risk and Change Management background
  • Willingness to travel abroad (20%)
  • Fluent in English, other languages (German, Italian) are an advantage
