**Accounting & Tax Officer

  • Your future position?**As an Accounting & Tax Officer, you will handle accounting needs of Givaudan affiliates based in Italy and Spain.


You will maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data in the entities systems to enable reporting according to regulations and company requirements.

You will be Finance counterpart for OPS and other departments.

You will assist the Finance Manager with Internal/External reporting and adherence to statutory and IFRS principles.

You will be reporting to the Finance Manager Italy & Spain.


You will:


  • Ensure oversight of transactional operations by the GBS center (AP, AR, payments and clearing processes)
  • Perform monthly closing tasks, intercompany checks and submission of financials to the Group.
  • Analyze and report on key performance ratios, substantiate provisions and monitor risk areas.
  • Collaborate with controllers on site spending measures, capex, inventory and product costing processes.
  • Conduct VAT & Intrastat reporting cycles, settlements and periodic external declarations/filings.
  • Manage all aspects of CIT and other local taxes identify issues and review with Group tax and external tax advisors.
  • Lead and control processes related to eventual tax authority audits or disputes.
  • Comply with local mandatory registers and corporate books retention & archiving of records
  • Coordinate updates of Transfer Pricing country documentation and perform Activity reporting checks on a quarterly basis.
  • Liaise with and support external auditors in quarterly reviews and annual preparation of local statutory financial statements and disclosures.
  • Support in the annual budget process.
  • Ensure efficiency and reliability of fixed assets records.
  • Conduct regular cleansing and reconciliations of key balance sheet and P&L accounts (ICON matrix).
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes impacting the entities and contribute to governance assessments and controls.
  • Support Finance Manager in special projects (mergers, systems reviews, einvoicing)

Your professional profile includes:


  • Qualified Financial Accountant
  • 57 year relevant experience, multinational manufacturing companies
  • Mergers and due diligence activity
  • Microsoft Navision, SAP
  • Fluent in Italian, English and Spanish
  • Comfortable with legislative /regulatory changes, ability to work with legal counsel
  • Knowledge of Italian and Spanish accounting standards
  • Tax litigation processes
