    Position is 100% remote within the State of Wisconsin, and Candidate may have to travel to DOC Central Office occasionally (1 – 2 times per quarter).


    Description:
    Our client, the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC) ,is looking for an Application Architect. This position will serve as the Architect for the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) initiatives.

    This position will provide leadership and direction to the Collaboration and Project Management and Infrastructure staff on the design of development of ITIL systems and solutions involving service management, change management, configuration management, and asset management.

    The position will be a member of the application development team, troubleshooting issues as they arise to ensure effective ITIL system solutions along with associated application technology for the Department of Corrections (DOC).

    The individual will work closely with the functional user groups within DOC to ensure effectiveness of system solutions deployed. This position will also work closely with the Secretaries Office staff in administrating and developing for their legal software.
    Tasks Collaborating with senior managers to determine business-specific application needs.
    Compiling and implementing application development plans for new or existing applications.
    Demonstrating application prototypes and integrating user feedback.
    Writing scripts and code for applications, as well as installing and updating applications.
    Providing end-users with technical support.
    Running diagnostic tests and performing debugging procedures.
    Performing application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration.
    Documenting application development processes, procedures, and standards.

    Review detailed systems specifications to ensure the development and support of new systems and enhancement of existing systems and is consistent with agency development and support methodologies, standard and policies.
