  • This role will be Reporting to the Director of Europe, International Business Development, this position will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new international business opportunities across South East Europe and Israel, evaluating the viability of such opportunities, shaping customer requirements and directly supporting Rotary and Mission Systems' Line of Business capture activities while managing international customer relationships within the region. It is necessary for the individual to understand, articulate and support our regional and global strategies as well as support strategy development for the region. Develop country and regional business development plans that sustain current programs and develop growth opportunities across the RMS portfolio. Shape the international strategy for Rotary and Mission Systems and coordinate across multiple Business Areas / functions within the corporation, including but not limited to Global Business Development, Lockheed Martin Business areas (Aero, Missiles & Fire Control, Space), Program Management, Operations, Finance, etc.
  • The preferred location of this position will be based in Rome, Italy.
  • Basic Qualifications:
years of business development and/or operational experience.

  • A high degree of flexibility and the ability to travel worldwide without restriction.
  • Must be able to operate and thrive in a fastpaced international environment.
  • Must be selfmotivated and able to operate with mínimal guidance and succeed in a highly competitive arena.
  • Strong technical and operational experience and understanding of Combat Weapon Systems including Aegis, Ballistic Missile Defense, IAMD defense architectures to include Command and Control systems.
  • Understanding of Rotary Wing capability, operation, employment.
  • Understanding of South East Europe, Balkan and Israeli Government structures and acquisition processes to include Ministry of Defense and all three services in each country.
  • Understanding of US military strategy and policy in South East Europe, Balkans and Israeli regions and organizations.

  • Able to develop and promote strong customer relations with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to understand and interpret international customers' needs and requirements and relate them back to strategy and programmatic processes.
  • Strong financial planning skills.
  • Strong decisionmaking ability and willingness to do the right thing by the company and our customers.
  • Avid learner strong desire to understand the entire portfolio within RMS and the Lockheed Martin Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales contracting and FMS process with USG organizations.
  • Experience working with the US Embassies and US/NATO commands across the region.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government.
  • Understanding of South East Europe, Balkan and Israeli Cultures.
  • Understanding of military rotary wing market.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Team Player effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives.
  • Must work well with broader RMS team.
  • Experience working with South East Europe, Balkan and Israeli consultants and trading companies.
  • Deal closer highly effective at bringing tasks and projects to a successful and timely conclusion.
