Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
The jobholder will have the following responsibilities:
- Actively contributing to the supervision, steering, support, control of the entire Generali Group P&C Outward Facultative Business aiming at optimizing premium spending hence maximizing technical profit retention within the group.
- Being the entry point for any facultative reinsurance needs and exception deriving from all Group Business units.
- Develop value adding facultative reinsurance solution with the international reinsurance market.
- Support in the empowerment all Group Companies and especially GC&C to purchase the optimum level of facultative reinsurance capacity within a specific agreed framework in line with Group Reinsurance Policy and relevant applicable Guidelines to achieve best Group Reinsurance efficiency.
- Act wisely in the mitigation of the Counterparty Credit Risk for cessions to Professional Reinsurers, Co-Reinsurance, Captive, Fronting also recommending and assessing the right Collateral solutions (Letter of Credit, Parental Guarantee, Cash/Share/Pledge Account) to mitigate the risk.
- Contributing to assess and develop effective facultative reinsurance solutions towards Group P&L volatility reduction goals and at the same time helping in the development of the knowhow on new products/sectors by progressively transferring experience acquired from the reinsurance market into our technical underwriting teams.
- Contribute to structure, coordinate, implement and monitor scalable Facultative Obligatory Reinsurance Solutions for the Group Business Units with Professional Reinsurers.
- Enhancing business relationship with main international Reinsurers and Brokers seeking best innovative facultative reinsurance solution to achieve profitable growth goals.
- Bachelor or Master's degree possibly with technical education background (Engineering, Statistical Sciences)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in direct insurance underwriting (exposure to multiple lines of business and/or international business is a plus)
- Proficient in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Target oriented, willing to innovate, able to implement technical initiatives through the organization.
- Strong technical and commercial skills
- Diplomatic, strong communicator, able to interact with both internal and external stakeholders, open and active listener.
