We are looking for a
Production Manager / Deputy Plant Manager for our new site located in Modena producing materials based on carbon fiber.


The Production Manager / Deputy Plant Manager will be in charge of the production department and manages the mixing of chemicals, impregnation process of carbon fiber, intermediate conversion and packaging.


In this role he/she is responsible for safe and efficient execution of all of the production processes in order to have the maximum productivity, working closely with the Logistics and Purchasing Manager for planning of the production, as well as the Quality and Laboratory Manager for the preparation of samples and support quality assurance processes.


An additional main task of the Production Manager is the execution of the Global Safety Standards of the entire production site and collaborates with the EHS manager.


As a new Plant, he/she will also contribute to the Management of permits and authorization processes for plant, to construction and operations (Fire Protection Certificate, ATEX, etc,..) and contributing of Management of activities related to the certification ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001.


Main tasks & accountabilities:

- _Develop Safety and KAITEKI actions and culture in the plant and direct environment._
- _Management and execution of the production, i.e. chemical storage, dosing, mixing and carbon fiber impregnation process, as well as packaging._
- _Formal power of attorney of the production function with focus of safety and environment._
- _Execution of development trials and preparation of work instructions, Job Safety Analysis, IOPs, etc. _
- _Creation of monthly production reports (KPI based)._
- _Participation in internal and external audits, respectively ISO 9001 as starting point. _ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 as second step._
- _Manage and provide Training for the Process Operators Team in the plant._
- _Interfacing with all business functions, he will carry out continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing the efficiency of business _processes collaborating with MCAM / MCG Global Team_._
- _He/She will be in charge as Deputy Plant Manager contributing to Management of permits and authorization processes for plant and construction and operations._


Main requirements for the role:

  • Technical degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or production, plastics or similar.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in similar position preferably the composites, plastics or chemical process industry.
  • Experience in managing chemical plants, emergency plan coordination and with power of attorney for production function.
  • Experience in management of permits and authorization processes for plant and of construction and operations ( i.e. fire protection certificate, ATEX,.. ).
  • Experience in certified iso 9001, iso 14001, OSHAS 18001 management system.
  • Appropriate knowledge of hazardous flammable materials and chemicals.
  • Experienced MS Office user and Native speaker or fluent in Italian and proficient English.
