Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) we are looking for a Data Analytics Project Manager to join the
Business Relationship Management & IT PMO team.

The role is inside the Operations & IT function of Global Corporate & Commercial Business Unit and it is based in Milan, with the possibility to work on an hybrid work scheme.

As a Data Analytics Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving data-driven initiatives within our organization. Your role will involve overseeing projects and run services related to data management, reporting, and analytics.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage business relationships internally within the Central Team and our customers (GC&C Countries), and ensure successful project delivery.

The role will be the interface between business and IT & data governance on data projects and will be engaged on other transformational projects when required.

You will also implement and embed adoption methodology and global data strategy on how to be best leverage pre
- and post-bind data to give the underwriter a 360 view of the client.


MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Project Management:


  • Lead and manage data analytics projects from inception to completion;
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables;
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation;
  • Implement project management methodologies such as Agile or Six Sigma to optimize project execution.

Data Management and Reporting:


  • Oversee data collection, storage, and quality assurance processes especially around ingestion of data from legacies system;
  • Collaborate with businesses and vendors to create insightful reports and dashboards;
  • Understand global reporting requirements across functions and understand how to leverage global tools, thus creating operating efficiencies;
  • Create an adoption methodology for our reporting layer to understand gaps in the reporting needs and avoid local individual reporting needs;
  • Understand systems PowerBI and Business Objects ;
  • Experience of data modelling a nice to have.

Business Relationship Management:


  • Engage with stakeholders, business leaders, and countries to understand their needs and requirements;
  • Foster strong relationships with internal central and external partners in the countries;
  • Understand and map business functions needs and develop mechanisms to monitor usage;
  • Conduct service reviews internally with our Vendor, but also with our business to ensure we are utilizing correctly our resources;
  • Work across function to understand business need to feed into the global reporting strategy;
  • Translate business objectives into actionable project plans within the global strategy.

Technical Expertise:


  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics;
  • Implement new technologies within our infrastructure to enhance data capabilities;
  • Have a working understanding of data governance methodologies and their implementation.

Leadership and Communication:


  • Provide clear direction to project teams, set goals, and monitor progress;
  • Regularly communicate project status, risks, and updates to senior management and countries;
  • Lead steering meetings and communicate across all levels of the organization.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in project management
  • Experience in managing datafocused projects, preferably in a large corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in Agile and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Business Objects, Azure datalake).
  • Must be fluent in English, additional languages are a plus (Italian, German, French, Spanish)
  • Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding abilities
  • Commercial Insurance domain knowledge as an advantage
