General Description of the Role

Mission/Objectives


The role is focused on managing a portfolio of technology capabilities to support the business objectives for the global Supply Chain function, ensuring that this portfolio is delivered through project excellence via solution best practices and the adoption of the required and innovative new technologies.

The Domain Architect

  • Is accountable for the definition of a technology product portfolio supporting the delivery of business capabilities and requirements in alignment with company's strategic vision
  • Is accountable to drive the architecture evolution of the Supply Chain function, based on the enterprise architecture direction and standards
  • Is responsible to support the translation of business requirements into technical and solution specifications, support the design process and overseeing the delivery of functional and technical components for any solution in the portfolio
  • Is accountable to ensure that the technical solution design will be sustainable and supportable and will meet the business needs

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Business Value Realization through solution excellence

  • Represents the main point of contact and escalation point for any questions, concern and issues concerning the overall Supply Chain architectural scenario
  • Link the Supply Chain mission, strategy and processes to the IT strategy and guarantees simplicity, agility and effectiveness of technology products in scope
  • Leads the Domain architects within the Supply Chain function and helps them in architecture design and review activities
  • For complex programs takes part in feasibility assessments, scoping and estimating carefully new initiative requested as part of the demand management process
  • Contributes in business cases definition, in collaboration with Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Business Stakeholders, identifying new solutions to support the business capabilities and builds a globally deployable platform
  • Ensures that the solution blueprint is aligned to the overall technology framework
  • Proactively brings external innovation into Campari Group on a regular basis by scouting the market to identify and evaluate current and emerging technologies to ensure that all the data & Analytics solutions delivered are best in class
  • Defines and monitors the architecture roadmap and proposes continuous improvements in alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards and requirements.
  • Works with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects and Application Maintenance organization to ensure the architecture is aligned to the business and IT strategies and in line with the Campari's Enterprise Architecture principles and strategy
  • Develops and build strong working relationships inside the Supply Chain Team and between the other work streams of the company
  • Monitors technical outputs from 3rd parties to ensure solutions delivered are best in class, robust, sustainable and supportable
  • Works closely with multiple regional IT organizations ensuring that local/regional solutions and architecture are integrated and aligned with the global solutions and strategy
  • Supports the evaluation of third party vendors and technology options

Project Management

  • Adopts and enforces standard project management methodologies for all projects managed
  • Manages and ensures project execution and coordinates project teams for action plan, following the agreed timelines and budget.
  • Ensures close collaboration with the Global Service Delivery organization to guarantee smooth transition from build to run op
