GVGH Head of Quality:


Global Vaccines, Global Health (GVGH) Quality Head integrates fit-for-purpose quality strategy, culture, and processes into end-to-end GVGH activities and projects.

The position comprises four focus areas but is not limited to those:


Management:


  • Build/Manage/Lead strong and cohesive local GVGH Quality team and be a strong and experienced Quality representative with external recognition in the GMP and GCLP community
  • Develop and coach agile team able to navigate in fit for purpose quality system, processes, and standards
  • Enhance team's capabilities to support current and new projects

Strategy and Leadership:


  • Build agile and fitforpurpose quality mindset to achieve GVGH ambitions on product and projects aligned with GSK Global Health strategy
  • Develop quality culture where every person in the organization takes personal responsibility for the quality of the processes for which they are accountable, supported by fitforpurpose quality system

Product:


  • Maintain deep project understanding to support projects on strategic level from quality perspective
  • Accountable for the quality on projects assigned to GVGH
  • Ensure that, for vaccines in development, the product quality strategy is coherent

GVGH Quality:


  • Quality for GVGH, SPOC for the rest of GSK Organization on quality related matters
  • Ensure global & local specificities and regulations are integrated in global quality initiatives and processes
  • Drive and monitor GVGH Quality improvement plan

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Accountable to ensure GH investment in Vx R&D is compliant to GSK Quality expectations and GMP Regulations.
  • Accountable to ensure the entire Vx for Global Health pipeline is compliant with GSK Quality standards. Accountable to ensure global & local requirements and regulations are integrated in GVGH quality projects and processes.
  • Drive and lead implementation of fitforpurpose quality mindset and culture and accountable for harmonization of best practices in GVGH.
  • Accountable for all quality aspects on projects assigned to GVGH, from Research activities to Proof of concept.
  • Accountable for selection and compliance of TPs involved in GVGH project, through the proper Quality Oversight, Quality Audit readiness and risk management.
  • Accountable for the design and implementation of future quality strategies to support the growth of the institute, avoid any breaches, reputational damage and deliver quality milestones to achieve and sustain intended business results.
  • Manage, allocate and prioritize resources (people, budget) in Quality department to ensure compliance with Vx for Global Health project priorities.
  • Ensure alignment of projects and priorities with GSK Quality counterparts, Global Health Quality/Compliance counterparts.
  • Accountable for data integrity compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • 15+ years leadership experience from Pharma or Life Science industry
  • Significant experience in Quality from Research & Development/ Pharmaceutical Product Development
  • Substantial proven experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) with specific focus on the investigation of products in clinical trials
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) with excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications:


  • If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:_
  • Higher degree such as a PhD in a related discipline
  • Ability to lead and influence people in a matrix business environment
  • Ability to adapt, work under uncertainty and accommodate flexible work demands with cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to adjust behaviours and priorities based on changing environment and manage stakeholders
  • Demonstrated track record of quality decision making and creative problem resolution in critical situations, demonstrates balanced judgement.
