The Hotel:

Position summary:


She/he will be responsible of the overall security and safety in the hotel, will oversee the entire operational and administrative duties of the Security department and overall responsible for subordinates' performance and career development.

She/He will ensure conformity of work standards and consistency in carrying out departmental operations of security and safety related to the guests and the colleagues, within the premises of the hotel.


Main responsibilities and reports:


Responsible for employees in the following areas:

  • Training courses.
  • Enforce work standard and followup on colleagues work performance about safety/security procedures and standards.
  • Update operational information and procedures.
  • Coaching, counselling, discipline colleagues as appropriate.
  • Overseeing and followup on overall outsourced security services performance.

Operational functions:

  • Ensure CCTV surveillance, Alarm, and Patrol systems are in good working order and kept in full respect of the current legislation. These include computer, printers, radio communication sets hardware and operating systems, with double check and tests.
  • Conduct and putup investigation report, in coordination with the outsourced security company.
  • Conduct and participate to daily/weekly/monthly security debrief and Security meeting and actively participate in departmental and management programs.
  • Overseeing safeguard company keys and passwords and the overall Security P&Ps and SOPs.
  • Responsible for all reporting activities and for meeting deadlines and precise completion of all reports and documentation.
  • Overseeing the incident reports (IR) immediate compilation and by monitoring the outsourced company in gathering/picking up all relevant information from colleagues and witnesses with a detailed documentation and proof.
- update the Mandarin Oriental GSIICS security management portal within the appropriate time and manner. Provide to instruct / supervise the outsourced staff on the use of the port itself, limited to the tasks accessible to them.


Reporting line:

  • In his/her duties and operational responsibilities related to the management of spaces and assets of the Hotel, Guests, and events he will report directly to the position of Hotel Manager, while for all technical activities related to the Safe & Sound management system he will report to the Director of Engineering and Security.

Others:

  • Update daily with Hotel Manager and Director of Engineering and Security.
  • Report any discrepancies, deviation of procedure or standard practice and carry out the necessary followups.
  • Update on security intelligence (suspicious movements and trends of individual or activities).
  • Conduct security briefings.

Requirements:


  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Fluency in English in both written and spoken and the capability to follow safety and security rules and procedures without compromises always is essential.
