About the Role:

As Talent & Transformation Head Italy you will partner with Italian leadership team and provide thought leadership & strategic direction on Talent Management, Organizational Development, Leadership Development and D&I.

You will also develop & deploy high quality Talent & Organizational Development interventions/solutions that substantially enhance organizational and people capabilities, and drive achievement of business goals and strategic objectives


Key responsibilities:


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with Country leadership team and provide thought leadership & strategic direction on Talent Management, Organizational Development, Leadership Development.
  • Provide integrated T&T solutions to build organizational and leadership capabilities, partnering with local POBPs to drive organizational change that enables customer centricity and business performance (SWP for the market, operating model reviews, integrated change plans, culture change agenda, integrating D&I priorities in organisational transformation efforts etc) Help to orchestrate the business transformation and activation of associated IM org capabilities
  • Develop a cohesive T&T strategy, anchored in Regional and Global frameworks, that is in line with overall business strategy and drives its implementation with P&O Business Partners, across assigned business areas.
  • Connect market to enterprise (for market insights to feed enterprise product development & deployment, large scale pilots etc.), incl scouting for best practice available externally in the market
  • As a member of the Region Europe Talent & Transformation team, drive crosscountry and above country priorities in the area of Talent Management, Org Design & Development.
  • Effectively embed global Talent Management strategy and tools in local context, prioritising and positioning these based on local needs.
  • Cocreate and drive implementation of enterprise talent programs at scale in the unit whilst offering feedback to the enterprise to inform forward solution based on unit business needs
  • Establish and maintain diverse, highquality internal and external succession plans for Business Value Roles (BVR), other critical positions and strategic talent cohorts
  • Use assessments and contribute to development planning for key talent to strengthen talent pipeline equipped with future capabilities and skills that will bring greatest value to Novartis
  • Leverage data and insights from IMI Talent & Insights to ensure data driven approach to interventions and impact

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:


  • Relevant degree, postgraduate and working qualifications preferred in the relevant business or applied behavioural sciences (e.g. Strategy, Business Administration, Organization Development, Psychology, HRM, MBB, etc).
  • Fluent in English and in Italian
  • Minimum 10 years combined Talent Management & Organizational Development experience, supported by consulting, People & Organization or change management experience
  • Strong experience with senior executive engagement and facilitation, strong influencing ability through consulting, communication and relationship building skills
  • Proven analytical and conceptual skills, combined with ability to implement
  • Known for strong collaboration and networking with the broader People & Organization community and other stakeholders
  • External consulting and/or business leadership experience would be valuable
