Job Title_**Medical Lead Vaccines (Herpes Zoster)

In this role you will

Contribute to the medical development of the recombinant zoster vaccine (RZV) through the processes of Medical Planning, Evidence Generation, External Engagement and coordination of medical and scientific advisory
Be accountable for the governance of the vaccine in accordance with the values, principles, policies and procedures of the Group, the procedures of GSK SpA and the Italian laws and regulations of reference
Establish and develop stable relationships of collaboration, mutual exchange, and interaction with external stakeholders
Healthcare Professionals, Scientific Societies, Patient Associations, Payers / Institutions, etc
Represent the medicalscientific reference of the RZV for GSK and the national scientific community
Assure medicalscientific training activities in support of internal collaborators (MKT, MSLs, Market Access, Commercial) to ensure a high level of scientific preparation of the related structures
Be accountable for the general compliance of the Medical Plan activities and for monitoring the level of impact and effectiveness of the Medical Affairs activities
Be a strategic member of the Therapeutic Area Team (TAT)
Manage a team of medical and scientific advisors to assure medical execution and be responsible for people development.

Key Accountabilities
He/She is responsible for safeguarding the corporate reputation through conduct based on compliance with current regulations and the values, codes, and corporate regulations

He/She is responsible for the preparation and implementation of the Medical Affairs Plans of the RZV, orienting the contents in order to generate value, ensure a benefit for the Healthcare Operator and a positive impact for the population and patients.

He/She is responsible for collaborating with the MSLs and the MSL Head to drive the deployment of the medical strategy at national and local level and to ensure the implementation of the medical plans.

He/She is responsible for collaborating with the Regional and Global network to ensure the development of the assigned vaccine.

He/She is responsible for proposing and carrying out external scientific activities with HCPs (public health and specialists) and with the key stakeholders in prevention.

He/She is responsible for overseeing the evidence generation studies, playing an interface role with the Region/Global team and collaborating with the Group's R&D structures.

He/She is the reference point for the global functions of relevance for the related vaccine.

He/She is the point of contact, in coordination with the MSLs and the MSL Head, for Clinical Operations in assessing the feasibility of study protocols, providing the required support for the clinical trials conducted in Italy.

He/She is the manager of a team of medical and scientific advisors.

Qualifications & Skills:

MD or PharmD or equivalent and/or postgraduate qualifications
Proven experience of at least 3 years in medical affair and customer facing activities
Preferred Knowledge of vaccine and/or infectious disease and /or public health areas
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Knowledge of regulations and laws (Ethical & Legal Compliance)
Knowledge of the procedures governing medical and scientific communication activities
Have successfully followed at least 1 product launch
Cross functional teamwork skills with internal and external stakeholders; problem solving mindset
Ability to work independently and proactively, develop credibility inside and outside the team and to influence decisions
Strong Communication skills both for f2f and digital channels
Strong scientific background (leading research projects; authoring publications)
Ability to operate in a crossfunctional and matrix environment, balance priorities and manage multiple activities through good planning and project management skills.
