Scientific Investigator - Biochemist

Job Purpose:


Responsibilities:


  • Design and conduct biochemical experiments to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying infectious diseases and the investigation of therapeutic options for bacterial infections. Utilize a variety of biochemical basic as well as highly advanced techniques.
  • Independently execute laboratory experiments, conduct statistically supported data analysis, and deliver results in a timely manner to enable informed decision making.
  • Keep up to date with the latest scientific literature and technologies in infectious diseases and the impacts of immune modulation and hosttarget interactions.
  • Contribute to the identification of novel mechanisms of action of antiinfective therapies and preparation of scientific publications, patents, and scientific reports.

Why You?:


  • Basic Qualifications:_
  • PhD with 2+ years' experience or MS with 57 years' experience in in relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biochemistry) with prior experience in a research setting.
  • Possess deep knowledge and expertise in infectious diseases, including understanding of disease mechanisms, hostpathogen interactions, and molecular targets for therapeutic interventions.
  • Expertise in a range of biochemical techniques including MS, HDX, cryoEM, chromatography, CD, SPR, DSC, protein purification, enzymatic assays, proteinprotein interactions, and protein characterization.
  • Prior experience in cell culture and immunophenotypic assays such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and handling of infectious agents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Selfmotivated and able to resolve technical challenges and deliver consistent results efficiently in a timely manner.
  • Preferred Qualifications:_
  • Experience in drug discovery or related field is preferred but not required.
