About Human Technopole:Human Technopole (HT) is an interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health.

At Human Technopole we house a central unit dedicated to facilitating the generation of novel molecular datasets from clinically annotated patient cohorts, and for the development of patient-derived model systems from human samples.
The Human Technopole Foundation is looking for a
Washing, Sterilisation and Media Preparation Technician for our
Lab
Kitchen Core Facility.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Biomass Production & Kitchen
, the role will support the entire research activities of Human Technopole.
Your main tasks and responsibilities
- Daily collection of dirty labware from the laboratories, and their transfer to the washing and sterilisation stations for processing;
- Cleaning, sterilisation and restoration of laboratory stocks to the different research groups and facilities, and routine quality control and optimisation of the relevant processes;
- Safely operating and monitoring the optimal functioning of washing machines, autoclaves and other core service equipment;
- Preparing culture media (e.g., LB, LBagar, YPD), plates, and general lab stock solutions/buffers (e.g., NaCl, PBS, EDTA, TBE, TAE, Tris-HCl), as well as aliquoting common reagents, buffers, and reference stocks;
- Assisting Lab Managers and technicians in key aspects of general lab management and organization, such as inventories and stocks of research reagents and materials.
Mandatory requirements
- High school or technical school diploma;
- Knowledge of common wet lab practice (e.g. handling of chemical reagents);
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Preferred requirements:
- Prior experience in research institutes or biomedical field;
- Chemical expert ("perito chimico").
Organizational and social skills:
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills;
- Aptitude for interpersonal relationships and team work;
- Independence, initiative and reliability.
