Position Context and Mission:


The mission of the Global Product Lifecycle Manager is to drive and improve control processes to maintain a healthy and profitable product and SKU portfolio across markets and regions within Campari Group.


This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Global Strategic Marketing, Finance, Innovation Project Managers, Supply & Demand Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Legal, to identify opportunities for synergies and rationalization within the existing portfolio and innovation pipeline.

The ultimate goal is to maintain a profitable portfolio by minimizing SKU proliferation, supporting focused business growth, optimizing inventory investment, and reducing write-off.


Key Responsibilities and Activities:


The key responsibilities and activities of the position focus on three main areas of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Innovation process management, Active Portfolio management, Phase Out execution.


Innovation Process Management:


  • Support the PLM Director and core team in continuously improving innovation and renovation processes and guidelines.
  • Drive the SKU rationalization process in Renovation projects, acting as project team member to propose SKU harmonization or discontinuation, and coordinate and monitor phaseout execution.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to establish proper supply chain thresholds and prevent SKU proliferation.
  • Contribute to improving Post Launch Evaluation processes and tools.
  • Support in building Reporting & Analytics tools to monitor NPD and Active Portfolio performance.
  • Assist in monitoring the Innovation & Renovation pipeline based on available resources for ongoing capacity planning.
  • Support the Innovation and Renovation agenda as a project manager for adhoc assigned initiatives.

Active Portfolio Management:


  • Own the SKU Portfolio analysis at the Group level, transforming multiple business data sources into meaningful information to drive decisionmaking.
  • Identify areas of improvement, such as optimizing brands and critical SKUs based on key metrics.
  • Propose portfolio optimization initiatives and drive the approved action plan, monitoring progress along the way.
  • Collaborate with local teams (Demand Planning, Marketing, FP&A) to keep a healthy SKU portfolio at market level.
  • Track and monitor the evolution of SKUs for each brand globally and challenge SKU additions to prevent proliferation.
  • Support the New Acquisition Integration team in assessing portfolios and facilitating the creation of suitable SKUs, ensuring effective communication with regional teams.
  • Review Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) processes by Region to identify opportunities for SKU optimization.

Phase Out Execution:


  • Own the Group Phase Out Process, ensuring the development, communication, and monitoring of phaseout plans for discontinued SKUs.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, GSM, Finance, and others, and track initiatives through a Phase Out Tracker.
  • Drive improvements in the Phase In/Phase Out processes.

Experience Required:


  • 5+ years of experience in the Beverage/FMCG industry in Analyst roles, with a focus on product portfolio assessment and business performance related to SKU profitability, complexity, and valueadd.
  • Experience in crossfunctional roles related to new product development or packaging development, or a clear understanding of how SKUs move through the product lifecycle and impact the business.
  • Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain Controlling, Commercial, or Business Analyst, or Planning roles is highly advantageous.
