Meta System SpA is specialized in research, development and production of electronic power conversion systems for the E-Mobility sector dedicated to electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrids (PHEV), representing an Italian excellence in the world.

Power System Designer:


As Power System Designer (PSD), you will be responsible for identifying the design and implementation of the power electronic converter within e-Mobility R&D.

Responsibility
Analyze power converter requirements;
Define topologies in line with the established concept;
Model the power converter in terms of Average, Behavioral and loss analysis;
Define the control strategy;
Contribute to the definition of the Test Plan;
Be responsible for the execution and success of the integration phases of the control algorithms on the HW and framework of the DSP and on the HW of the target plant;
Interact with all specialized functions of the R&D Team in order to implement an optimal solution.


Qualifications and Experience Levels:

Degree in Electronic, Electric, Mechanical Engineer or equivalent;
Knowledge of Functional Safety principles (ISO26262);
Mastery of modeling tools (Matlab, PLECS, PSIM, and/or similar) and circuit simulation tools (e

g:
PSpice, LTSpice,...);

Strong skills in the field of power electronic converters: architectures / topologies and related control strategies: stability analysis and compensation techniques, digital control;
In-depth knowledge of technological aspects and components used on high voltage and high power switching converters (power devices, passive and magnetic,...);
Previous experience in e-mobility;
Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
