SCOPE AND PURPOSE:


As Area Marketing Manager Southern Europe, you will be responsible for contributing and implementing the Marketing strategy for the Belmond properties in the division, alongside the Divisional Brand & Marketing Director.

We seek a highly motivated individual with previous experience managing a brand marketing strategy, including graphic and visual responsibility. This role will be responsible for many aspects marketing including collateral, photo shooting, website, partnerships, events and editorial projects.

The role is part of the Southern Europe Brand team and will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver marketing strategies for the products that drive awareness, engagement and conversion.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the Marketing team with the implementation of the annual Marketing, keeping projects on track and executed in a timely and exceptional manner, and within the budget allocated.
  • Support all gold, silver and local campaigns with a 360 approach, making sure the marketing contribution is aligned with the other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the creation of new or updated brand collateral for all properties in the region.
  • Assist with the productions of all photo & video shootings and responsible for image libraries.
  • Ensure hotels websites are updated with relevant and current information, monitor performance and suggest actions to enhance visibility and improve conversions.
  • Provide content and ideas for direct and electronic mailings, both to consumers and travel trade.
  • Maintain and build regular communication with colleagues in the field, including General Managers, PR Managers and relevant operational teams (ie. Purchasing, Finance), to support the overall business strategies.
  • Collaborate proactively with corporate head office in rolling out Brand programs and initiatives on local or area levels.
  • Cooperate with the Sales, Groups other departments in Milan, brainstorming and aligning on projects
  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages
Communication

  • Communicate relevant information to the department and ensure that the Divisional Brand Director is kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen.
  • Report any problems/complaints to the Divisional Brand Director.
Learning & Development

  • Attend departmental or Company meetings as required.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure good communication and offer support
  • Assist in the learning and development of colleagues as required.
  • Attend all learning and development courses as and when required.

Requirements:

To carry out your job effectively, you will need to demonstrate proficiency with the following personal skills, qualities and attributes:

  • Strong visual and creative skills: ability to understand art direction, luxury and evaluate on-brand/off brand content
  • Luxury brand sensibility: in terms of content, visuals, copy and client experience
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence in order to motivate and influence others.
  • Strong problemsolving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage details through to completion and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
