The main purpose of the role is to manage the seat development activity for the assigned program in accordance with legal and client specifications.

Ensure defined development times and costs for program objectives and commitments.


Responsibilities:


  • Technical responsibility for the program's seat development activities and for the technical content
  • Technical interface for customers, suppliers and internal departments
  • Coordinates the engineering team, defines the direction of the program
  • Implement efficiently the BCC tools into development team (hc)
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate across regions and teams
  • Conducts internal team meetings
  • Supports and contributes to the development of the team through technical experience and Lear "lessons learned".
  • Manage the list of open issues with Top 5 customers/internal customer on a weekly basis
  • Manage the budget for new projects, monitor P&L
  • Knows the legal requirements for seat components
  • Supports creation of sub component specifications to conform to customer specifications
  • Supports DFMEA for new products
  • Supports preparation and carries out design reviews
  • Manage the program BOM through PLM system
  • Supports /FEA matrix tests
  • Analyze FEA results and define design changes
  • Analyze test results and define design changes
  • Align control plans by collaborating with Central Quality and Lear Supplier Quality
  • Supports the implementation of VA/VE proposals
  • Supports PFMEA definition
  • Guarantees the result of the LEAR profile

Requirements:


  • Experience of at least 5 years
  • Degree in Engineering/Automotive
- fluency in English

  • Experience working in international companies
  • Leadership skills and the ability to lead a team of 3 people
  • Daily commute to the office in Grugliasco (1 day/week home office)
