Objective of the role
The
Procurement Sustainability Specialist will support the Purchasing Projects & New Methodologies and the Category managers in the achieving broader group sustainability targets and act as a key point of reference in the ESG/Sustainability topics in the overall Procurement processes


Essential Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or equivalent programs.
  • 2/3 years of experience in sustainable procurement.
  • Proven experience in structured procurement departments, with a thorough understanding of key purchasing processes and IT tools.
  • Knowledge of ESG guidelines and regulatory standards, maintaining awareness of validation and process control requirements set by regulatory bodies.

Desirable Experience:

Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; proven ability to develop team members and manage crossfunctional teams.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong process and project management skills, organizational skills, and agility to develop flexible approaches to changing conditions.
  • Full proficiency in the English language (both oral and written).

Main Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the review and integration of the supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that Recordati's core sustainability values are reflected throughout the lifecycle of their products and services.
  • Cooperate with category managers in identifying and defining ESG/Sustainabilityrelated evaluation criteria for tenders.
  • Actively participate in the Supplier selection and qualification process to promote the procurement of environmentally preferred products and raw materials.
  • Identify and prioritize with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners potential initiatives to be deployed to increase the sustainability of Recordati's purchasing (e.g., plastic reduction, carbon neutrality, etc.).
  • Oversee the implementation of launched sustainability initiatives, closely cooperating with other impacted functions within the Group Ind. Ops. structure.
  • Define and monitor specific KPIs/metrics to measure the progress of the sustainable sourcing program.
