Arup is currently seeking a
Project Manager to join our Programme and Project Management Team within Arup Italia.


Role:

  • Project control manager (time and cost monitoring)
  • Planner and analysis / reviews related to the work program (design, procurement, construction)
  • Support Contract management and variants
  • Bid support for preparation of the work program
  • Support to the DL / Construction manager for aspects related to project control applied to the construction site (progress verification, SAL verification, variant negotiation, contract management, claim management, contractor / GC coordination...)
  • Drafting / revision of cost reports where necessary
  • Undertake day to day project management for current ongoing project commitments and future projects
  • Be involved in interfacing clients gaining their trust and ensuring that their needs will be met by the brief through effective communication
  • Work collaboratively within a mutually supportive team environment with a focus on team success
  • Support to coordinate tasks, ensuring work quality is maintained at required standard
  • Support the definition of procurement strategies and management of the entire tender process
  • Support the management of the time, scope, cost, quality and performance of projects
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, records, reports, logs and registers
  • Provide input into the ongoing skill development within the project management team.
  • Visit the construction site to monitor work progress, timing to be compliant with the schedule and update on working status, issues, critical situation

Requirements:


  • Degree in civil or building engineering or architecture;
  • Knowledge and 46years of experience in the field of project management and related areas across a range of projects;
  • Fluency in both Italian and English language;
  • Experience on site;
  • Experience in undertaking project analyses and report on results;
  • Experience of managing key projects as part of a team;
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful client and team relationships;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines;
  • Planning and organisational skills;
  • Communications skills (including formal and informal presentations, written communications and reports);
  • Able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
- working knowledge of MS project/Primavera, MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint

  • Project Management skills, PMP certification or similar can be a plus
