    Our beautiful Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel in Sicily is searching for a talented Restaurant Hostess to join our team of passionate professionals.

    The ideal candidate has experience working in Italy, ideally in a resort, and will have a wealth of experience in the F&B field with excellent knowledge and attention to details in deliverying excellence to our guests.

    They should also be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns, or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.

    The position is based in Taormina, Sicily and the contract is full time.

    You must possess the legal right to work in Italy / EU.

    JOB PURPOSE

    • To greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, accurately and efficiently handling all Restaurant & Bar reservations and table assignments, enhancing the hotel's reputation for excellence.

    NATURE & SCOPE

    • Reports directly to the F&B Manager
    • The Hostess is required to take full ownership and accountability for all F&B Venues booking and greeting operations of Grand Hotel Timeo.
    • Ensure all routine matters are handled effectively without guidance and must be able to interact with employees within immediate business areas.
    • Maintain and update a departmental filing system as required, ensuring that documentation is easily accessible.
    • Adhere to the Company's Procedures and rules.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure work is of the highest level.
    • Establish high levels of participation in the project during its pre and post-opening stages to set the required operational standards in all FB Venues in line with international standards.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Familiar with local culture and governmental policies.
    • Ensure high standards of professional presentation and grooming.
    • Maintain strong, professional relationships with internal and external guests and relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners, and other organizations, including local schools, hotel schools, and universities.
    • Respond to changes in the Hostess function as dictated by the industry, company, and hotel.
    • Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and has an understanding of and adheres to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene and health.
    • Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.
    • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE (COMPETENCIES REQUIRED)

    • Previous experience in similar and/or related fields in a 5* Hotel.
    • At least 1-year of experience at the same level.
    • Diploma or relevant qualification in Hotel Management (desirable)
    • Proficient in English & Italian Language
    • Additional languages are desirable
