Job Summary:


We are looking for a sub-system owner with a focus on packaging material to join the Material and Package Technical Product Owner (TPO) team.

In this position you will support our work with total specification and life cycle management of packaging material, additional material and package.

The primary role of the TPO team is to drive the performance and development of M&P specifications and their interfaces from today to the end of life in collaboration with development programs.

We do this by being experts in Material & Package products and sub-systems, their performance, and associated customer technical needs.

As a sub-system owner with a focus on packaging material, you collaborate with and support TPO and development teams in requirement definition, design decisions, feasibility and impact analysis.

You continuously support factories and customers in solving specification issues, during A&I and when introducing new specifications.
The position is preferably based in Modena and may involve about 25 days of traveling per year.


What you will do:


  • Own total specification and lifecycle management for assigned specifications (early innovation to end of life)
  • Proactively managing the quality roadmap for my assigned specification through the life cycle, identifying, correcting and closing quality gaps and providing input to early innovation in collaboration with TPO M&P
  • Management of specification changes and deviations
  • Creating new specifications
  • Managing technical trade offs

We believe you have:


  • Your educational background is a Masters or Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Physics Engineering or similar or proven equivalent experience in the field.
  • You have good communication in English
  • You are a good team player with a strong technical interest,
  • You have attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • You are well organized with an analytical mindset.
  • You have a clear communication style and understand the importance of sharing information.
  • As a part of a team, you are open and collaborative and know how to engage people.
  • You have experience working with Packaging Material production and development.
  • You also have experience in specification, risk, and requirements management as well as problemsolving.
  • Knowledge of Windchill and SAP is advantageous as is experience in packaging and openings.
