Human Technopole (HT) is a new interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health.

HT is composed of five Centers:
Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics, Neurogenomics and Health Data Science.

The Centers work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment that will help promote life science research both nationally and internationally.

The Human Technopole Foundation is looking for a
Grants Accounting Specialist to work in the Finance Area.

The role, reporting to the Accounting Manager, will support the administrative activities on Grants.

S(he) will have the following main responsibilities:

Analyse grants documentation (eligible costs, reporting timetable, ecc);
Prepare reports on projects and grant funding including project financial and milestone reports in accordance with the internal guidelines;
Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating the grants accounting process and defining proper accounting policies and procedures;
Prepare and maintain grant accounting files and procedures;
Assist in yearend closing and internal/external audit.

Mandatory requirements:

Degree in Economics, Management Engineering or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience gained in an auditor company or in an accounting department;
Fluency both in English and Italian
HT is an international institute;
Knowledge of accounting processes and principles;
Strong knowledge of MS Office suite;

Preferential requirements:

Experience in an academic/research institute;
Knowledge/working experience with major European fundings.

Organizational and social skills:

Problemsolving orientation;
Analysis and synthesis skills;
Good communication skills.
