What you'll learn & achieve:


The Finance Analyst will support the financial health of the area by partnering closely with the team, tracking performance metrics and creating financial models.

Build analysis that serve as the basis for recommendations that leaders of the business draw on to make critical, strategic decisions.

Maintain a consistently high level of attention to detail while finding opportunities to continuously improve processes and outputs.

Involved in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, including ad-hoc reports, and analysis. Partner with the team to provide decision-making support related to projects and deliver in-depth reporting and analysis. Act as a strong advocate and ambassador for promoting the development and use of enhanced reporting tools and analytics.


The Finance Analyst will have strong communication skills and a desire to partner cross-functionally across the organization to help promote our goals.


  • Supports execution and completion of broader financial processes including monthly reporting, annual and longrange planning, routine forecasting, operating expense oversight, process improvement projects and compliance with Corporate Accounting and Internal Controls.
  • Assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities and key performance metrics.
  • Provide decision support to management through monthly financial reports, business models and adhoc analysis.
  • Support financial research projects and analysis including rates of return, projections and sensitivity analysis associated with investments or initiatives.
  • Collaborate across all Corporate Finance and Decision Support teams as well as other areas of the greater Finance organization (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Global Business Services, Sourcing, Corporate Strategy and Internal Audit) as needed to meet team shared goals and objectives.
  • Tracks and reports on strategic efficiency projects as identified during the Budget or Long-Range Plan processes.
  • Drives common reporting and develops and implements best practices among the finance team. Collaborates on dashboard development and new enhancements as needed.
  • Partner at various levels of the enterprise to optimize financial performance.
  • Present analyses and findings to internal financial teams and various levels of leadership.
  • Supports M&A analyses of potential growth opportunities and assist with the integration of acquisitions as needed
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
What makes you a great fit:


  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent Professional qualification such as CPA, CMA or CA plus generally two years directly related work experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Strong financial systems capabilities for e.g. HFM, CMR, SAP or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, listen reflectively, consider many points of view on a topic, recognize connections & disparate actions, to enhance financial analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; communicate effectively with a global team with experience in a dynamic international environment and good proficiency in English.
  • Strong technical skills in finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control, variance analysis and service / product line profitability. Preferably in complex matrix organizations.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, good understanding of technical accounting and financial reporting skills and knowledge.
  • Adapts to changing circumstances, accepts new ideas and change initiatives, and deals effectively with ambiguity. Comfortable with large business projects and system initiatives.
