Main Responsibilities and Activities

In the Environmental Health and Safety Department, we are seeking a dynamic professional to report to the Site General Manager with the following key responsibilities and activities:

• Lead EHS Regulatory Compliance: Provide guidance to site managers and employees, conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance, and design corrective and preventive action plans.
• Assess and Mitigate Risks: Identify EHS risks, implement proactive mitigations, and ensure that site investments and process changes adhere to EHS principles and relevant requirements.
• Design and Implement Annual EHS Plan: Work with the site leadership team to develop, implement, monitor, and update the site's EHS plan.
• Monitor, Analyze, and Share EHS Information: Provide necessary data to stakeholders to support EHS objectives and enhance Teva's reputation.
• Promote a Sustainable EHS Culture: Foster an EHS culture that encourages proactive behavior and a belief in achieving 'target zero'.
• Provide Expertise, Guidance, Coaching, and Training: Develop training programs and support managers and employees on EHS matters.
• Lead Continuous EHS Improvement: Drive EHS improvement initiatives using Operational Excellence principles.
• Lead the Site EHS Team: Recruit, develop, and retain EHS professionals to deliver high-quality services and ensure team performance.
• Site Leadership Team Member: Act as a key member of the site leadership team, contributing to decision-making and promoting collaboration across functions.
• Member of the Global Network & Professional Community: Share best practices globally and support EHS excellence.
• Manage Relations with Regulatory Agencies, the Local Community, and Suppliers: Establish positive relationships to ensure compliance and social responsibility.
• RSPP Role on Site: Fulfill safety responsibilities according to Italian law.

Requirements

Essential requirements:

• Ensure full application of the organization's Quality Management System within the area of responsibility.
• Adhere to EHS and legal requirements as well as company ethical standards.

Education:

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field. Master's Degree in Safety/Industrial hygiene/Environment is a plus.
• Relevant professional certifications and experience with management systems are advantageous.

Languages:

Fluency in English and Italian.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in EHS in a chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
