    Profile description

    The candidate shall be responsible within the MadeinAdd Product & Engineering Team for supporting the customer requests taking care of the advisory on technologies, materials and the technical execution of the product Design for Additive, virtual simulation, production and validation according to business, economic and technical targets.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    The Additive Manufacturing Application Engineer Senior shall support MadeinAdd Product & Engineering Team on the following topics:

    1. Support the customer with advisory to choose the proper solution within the technologies and materials portfolio (FDM, SLS, MJF, DMLS, CNC) according to business, economic, technical requirements as well as the proper product development and design strategy along the whole product lifecycle from prototypes to end-use parts.

    2. Execute the development of the customer projects and products taking care of the overall project management, scheduling, on-time production, validation, delivery according to quality standards, technical and business requirements.

    3. Execute Design from scratch and for Additive Manufacturing, virtual analysis and optimization (CAE), process simulation activities on customer products taking care of the on-time delivery.

    4. Coordinate with and actively support the Chief Product Officer (CPO) on business, product development, design and manufacturing standards as well as process improvements to always provide the customers with the best quality solutions.

    5. Coordinate with the Pre-Sales and Procurement&Quality teams to support task scheduling, technical checkout, quality approval, and extra capacity (Advisory, Engineering, Manufacturing, Post processing, Quality Controls, Testing). xkiyazw

    6. Be constantly aware and contribute to the state of the art of the technologies, materials, design for Additive solutions & tools, and production process improvements to act as Additive Manufacturing subject matter expert.

    The Skills

    · Master degree in Engineering discipline as Mechanical or similar - required

    · 5 years of prior experience within a cross functional team, Engineering or Industrial environment – required

    · At least 2 years of project management and product development experience including managing multiple complex projects with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results – required

    · Good knowledge and experience of Additive Manufacturing technologies, materials, process (at least DMLS metals), and CNC machining – required

    · Good knowledge of CAD, CAE and interest in Design for Additive, Topology Optimization, Process simulation software – required

    · Good knowledge of analysis about 2D drawings, 3D models, GD&T basics (ASME, ISO) – required

    · High level of oral and written communication skills in English – required

    · International education and/or work experience (i.e. ISP, Erasmus, etc) – preferred

    · Good knowledge of Office 365 suite - required

    · Management and soft skills:

    a. Exhibit interpersonal and advisory communication skills to work effectively with customers and markets (Aerospace, Automotive, Machinery, Medical)

    b. High level attitude to work independently and effectively with internal (team working) and external (customer) stakeholders

    c. Strong decisional agility skills also where topics are unusual, multiple and complex with problem solving attitude

    d. Dealing with conflict and ambiguity

    e. High creativeness and innovation attitude beyond the status quo

    Minimum Level Required B2 (CCNL Metalmeccanico)
