As a Sales Manager, you directly receive meaningful responsibilities as of day one.
You are in charge for maintaining and expanding a long-term partnership with your customer by continuously proposing solutions and plans that will create value for the customer.
To do so, you'll develop skills to understand the product categories and markets.In addition, you'll be part of a sales team in which trust, team spirit, real passion for winning and leadership are very important.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong and ambitious performer to join a winning team.This position is based in our Legnano (MI) offices, will report to the Sales Manager Italy and will manage a team of Account managers in the area North Italy
What You Will Do
- Management of a sales team covering GDO and Drugstore channels of North Italy
- Leading the business with the customers together with the sales team, negotiating and aligning on business terms and conditions and tracking compliance
- Lead, direct and develop the team in terms of its structure, people, and performance to achieve maximum efficiency & effectiveness (including personal feedback & development).
- Coach team members on sales techniques, procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
- Translate local business plans into sales plans, activities, and campaigns and manage the daytoday activities of the sales team (to implement the organization's overall sales strategy) for Italy North Area
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem and opportunities areas and adapt procedures.
- Allocate resources according to uptodate customer categorization to improve the overall performance of the sales team.
- Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
- Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution plans and strategies for area of responsibility.
- Responsible for customer profitability.
- Generate knowledge on market development and customer needs and competitor activities and distribute to internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to overall decision making
Who You Are
- University degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline
- 7+ years of experience in FMCG and 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a multinational company
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
- Strong problemsolving skills to identify critical issues, evaluate options and drive to resolution
- Fluency in English both spoken and written
- Passion for growing new and maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities
