COMPANY BACKGROUND:
Ditta Artigianale ("Ditta") is Italy's preeminent artisanal specialty coffee roaster.
Founded in 2013 by Francesco Sanapo (world-renowned barista and roaster) and Patrick Hoffer, Ditta brings high quality coffees to Italy and the world with a focus on total transparency and sustainability throughout the supply chain.
The brand's philosophy is based on researching the most exclusive micro-lots, establishing direct relationships with producers and engaging in special roasting techniques to give consumers a unique, quality-orientated experience.
Francesco is the personification of coffee, winning Italy's best roaster in 2019 and twice being a finalist in the World Barista Championship.
With four cafés in Florence (and more to come), one in Toronto and a brand new Scuola del Caffè as well as roasting facility and state-of-the-art bakery, Ditta Artigianale is the Italian leader of the third wave coffee movement.
ROLE:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a business with tremendous momentum and opportunity.
Your primary duty will be to develop and grow the business' B2B sales both within Italy as well as around the world.
You will be expected to closely collaborate with senior leadership to set and meet business objectives. In addition, you will work cross-functionally with the roasting, operations and marketing teams to drive sales.
We are looking for an experienced sales professional with a real expertise on third wave specialty coffee, and of course a good existing network of contacts in the industry.
As this is a small team, the B2B Sales Manager will be expected to wear multiple hats and roll his/her sleeves up to get the job done.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Sales experience, 3+ years (preferably within third wave specialty coffee)
- Startup experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, develop and execute B2B sales strategy
- Service recurring customers with excellence and upsell whenever possible
- Provide ongoing customer feedback to Ditta team to better inform broader business decisions
- Create detailed sales reports on weekly, monthly and annual basis
- Drive revenue across multiple channels including traditional wholesale, ecommerce and strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with marketing team to design and develop endtoend marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with roasting team to streamline logistics for exporting of coffee and other coffeerelated products
- Promote the brand in the local community through wordofmouth and special events
- Recommend and execute on ways to reach a broader audience
- Attend relevant trade shows and expos
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven sales track record, preferably in the third wave specialty coffee industry
- Entrepreneurial, solutionoriented, strategic mindset
- Driven, selfstarter, goaloriented and hungry to close new and existing business
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Clear and proven ability to develop and implement successful sales and marketing strategies
- Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and sales CRM tools
- Strong comfort and interest in technology tools in general
- Ability to travel when and where necessary
